Description:
Integrated approach to design of building structures considering complex of performance requirements. Requirements on buildings, sub structures and elements.

1. Basic classification and development of building structure;
2. Requirement on building structures, structural systems, space rigidity, interaction load and non-load structures;
3. Structural Systems for Single- and Multistorey Buildings. High Rise Buildings.
4. Structural Systems for Long Span Structures. Superstructures.
5. Vertical load bearing structures (performance, requirements, design principles, walls, columns);
6. Floor structures (performance, requirements, design principles)
7. Vaults, timber floors, RC floor structures, steel and composite steel and RC floor structures);
8. Overhanging structures (performance, requirements, design principles of balconies, canopies, cornices);
9. Staircase structure.;
10. Expansion joints in load bearing structures;
11. Foundations;
12. Basement structures;
Contents:
Seminary:

1. week: Introduction; project documentation; requirements, method of
basic principles drawing in building structures, drawing area elements,
geometrical projection in drawing process, scales and format of
drawings. Instruction and facilities for technical Lettering.

2. week: Introduction, principles technical drawing of horizontal and
vertical plan of designs projections from structural point of views.

3. week: Introduction, principles technical drawing of designs
projections from structural point of views of fillings - windows, doors,
gates etc. finish surfaces. Submission plan of task of family house,
principle of technical plotting.

4 - 5 week: Introduction, principles technical drawing of horizontal and
vertical structures plan and section - flooring, ceilings structures.
Technical forms plotting, location principles, projections. Tutorial
technical drawing of plan of family house.

6. week: Introduction, principles technical drawing of structural
systems for Single- and Multistory Buildings. Tutorial technical drawing
of section of family house. Tutorial technical drawing of plan and
section ceilings structures of family house.

7. Introduction, principles technical drawing of Staircase - calculation,
requirement, geometry and principles of designs and projections plotting
and tilting section. Tutorial of structural systems variants of plan of
redemptional or administrative building.

8.Introduction; requirements, method of basic principles drawing
expansion joints. Tutorial technical drawing of plan and section
ceilings structures of family house. Tutorial of principles technical
drawing and calculation of Staircase.

9. Introduction, principles technical drawing of overhanging structures,
requirements, Tutorial technical drawing of plan and section and
calculation of expansion joint.

10. Introduction, principles technical drawing of excavation, foundation
- plans and tilting section. Tutorial of two variants of overhanging
structures plan, section and static schematic.

11. week: Technical drawing of wive and situation of building
structures. Requirements and principles of designs and projections.
Tutorial of finishing of projection of house family.

12. week: Final assessment of principles of calculation, technical
drawing, detail o fstaircase.

13. week: Tutorial of task of family house, expansion joint and
overhanging structures.
