Description:
Methods and procedures in tissue engineering, work with cell culture, preparation of carriers, testing of biocompatibility and cytotoxicity, use of dynamic systems for cell culture.
Contents:
Syllabus of lectures:
1. In-vitro cell culture procedures
2. Cell cultures, lines, primary cultures
3. Stem cells
4. Methods of tissue acquisition, cell separation
5. Artificial and biological cell carriers,
6. Methods of imaging cell cultures
7. Biocompatibility of tissue carriers covering them to reduce cytotoxicity and increase proliferation
8. Cell stimulation (mechanical, chemical, electrical) supporting proliferation, gene expression and differentiation
9. Perfusion systems providing conditions for cell growth and stimulation
10. Tissue decellularization, crosslinking and carrier crosslinking
Seminar contents:
Syllabus of exercises (block form of teaching after 4 teaching hours):
1. Basics of working with cells, ie working in a laminar box, ensuring sterility and minimizing contamination, passage of cells, deployment on a cell carrier and preparation for dynamic cultivation, flow systems of the PPFC type,
2. Systems for mechanical loading of cell culture, preparation of gel substrates, mechanical loading in a bioreactor
