Description:
Statistics, biostatistics, statistical calculations in the R programming language. Data processing. Graphical analysis. Introduction to probability. Random variable distribution. Random samples. Principles of statistic thinking. Estimation and hypothesis testing. Parametrical and non-parametrical test in normal distribution. T-tests. Binomial distribution and tests. Analysis of variance. Contingency tables. Correlation and regression.
Contents:
1. Introduction into statistical methodology. Population and sample. Surveys, random sampling. Statistics in biomedical research.
2. Types of data, grafic representation of data, measures of position, measures of variability.
3. Random variable, distribution function, density, kvantiles, mean, variance.
4. Normal and binomial distributions.
5. Basics of statistical reasoning; point, interval estimation.
6. Testing of hypotheses, level of significance. One-sample t-test. One-sample Wilcoxon test, sign test.

9. Relative frequency. Comparison of population probabilities.

12. Kruskal-Wallis test. Cathegorial data analysis - Pearson´s chi-squared test. Contingence tables - chi-squared independence test, McNamara test, Fischer test.
13. Measurement of dependency - regresion and correlation analyses - least squares method, regresion line, rezidua, sample correlation coefficient, Spearmanv kor. coef.
